Chiefs take one step closer to franchise record for consecutive home wins

Andy Reid coached in Philadelphia for 14 years and never won 10 straight home games. You can’t say the same about his time in Kansas City. With the Chiefs win over the Jaguars on Sunday, they have won 10 straight home games, the first time in Andy Reid’s career that his team has done that.

The Chiefs 10 straight home wins ranks third in franchise history. It ties the 1968-9 Chiefs who also won 10 in a row.

The Chiefs franchise record is 13 straight home wins from 2002-03. Remember those teams? Yeah, they were pretty good. The Chiefs won 11 straight home games from 1994-96 and again in 1997-98.

The Chiefs COULD break the record this year. They have four more home games: Buccaneers, Raiders, Titans, Broncos. They’ll likely be favored in all of those. If they win all those, there will probably be another home game in January...

The Chiefs haven’t lost at home in over a year. The last loss was October 11, 2015 (the Jamaal / Bears game).
