Spencer Ware ruled out for Chiefs-Jaguars game, Charcandrick West time

The Kansas City Chiefs will be without Spencer Ware on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars as he continues to recover from a concussion. He was out of practice all week after suffering a concussion last Sunday. Here’s to hoping he’ll be back in the swing of things next week.

This means that Charcandrick West will be your featured back this weekend. The Chiefs used him quite a bit last year during the 11-game winning streak without Jamaal Charles so he’s more than capable of handling it. The Chiefs will also have new back Bishop Sankey on the roster. I thought they would call up Darrin Reaves from the practice squad but Andy Reid said he tweaked his groin.

Jeremy Maclin and Jaye Howard were back on the practice field Friday after appearances on the injury report this week.

Also not playing on Sunday is cornerback DJ White, who remains out with his fractured hand. This will be the second game he misses. Guard Parker Ehinger, who reportedly tore his ACL, was ruled out as well. If he did tear his ACL then I would imagine he’s going on IR soon.

Alex Smith has already been ruled out. Nick Foles will start.
