Chiefs’ Justin Houston: ‘We just let people talk’

Justin Houston walked the walk with three sacks on the Denver Broncos in primetime. He should be able to talk the talk now but Houston said on NFL Network after the game that he’s going to let everyone else keep talking while the Chiefs do their thing.

“I feel like we’ve got something to prove every week,” Houston said on NFL Network. “We just let people talk. We know we have a goal in mind, and we’re gonna get our goal no matter what people say and what people think. We have a vision, and we’re gonna keep that vision in our head. Only we can stop us—no one can stop us.”

If the Chiefs are healthy, there aren’t many teams that can stop them. The problem is that every time they welcome someone back they lose an even bigger piece. Jeremy Maclin’s absence is hurting the offense badly. Houston made up for the loss of Dee Ford. The Chiefs were playing with all backups on the defensive line after Dontari Poe left with an injury.

It’s hard to have two more impressive wins than at Oakland and at Denver. Get those Chiefs healthy and I believe Houston. No one can stop them.
