The Chiefs biggest game of the season, so far

Broncos linebacker Von Miller told reporters this week that Sunday’s matchup with the Chiefs in Denver is the biggest game of the season.

“This is a rivalry game flexed to Sunday Night Football,” Miller said Friday. “It’s the biggest game of the year, and I want to go out there and take advantage of it.”

He’s not wrong. Alex Smith said something similar earlier this week.

“I don’t think you could make it any bigger or more intense than it already is,” Alex said via quotes from the Chiefs. “The way the division has gone to this point, it’s already pretty tight. This is our first crack at these guys and they’re the defending Super Bowl Champions. We’ve been in a lot of battles with these guys over the years and the fact that it got moved to the Sunday Night game, it’ll be under the lights and we understand that. It’ll be fun. I don’t think it could be any more intense than it already is.”

This is the biggest game of the season for the Chiefs - so far. In a few weeks when they play the Raiders that will be the biggest game and then after that the Broncos again will be even bigger. That’s the way the division is going this year. The Chiefs have three more games against the Broncos and Raiders. The Broncos and Raiders face each other one more time. This division has a long way to go but Sunday night is the biggest one of the year so far.
