Andy Reid didn’t have many injury updates at his Monday press conference. Here’s where we stand with a few notable injuries:
Dee Ford’s hamstring strain. He was ruled out for the entire second half. As I noted yesterday, Reid calls almost everything a strain at first. Let’s hope this one is short-term.
Jeremy Maclin’s groin. Yes, we are looking for updates on Maclin’s groin. (I have a weird job) Of note is that in Monday’s presser, Reid said he doesn’t think Maclin’s injury is a long-term issue. He has missed two games with it.
Marcus Peters’ hip. He did not play against the Bucs. Here’s what Reid said after the game: “Yeah, his hip is just killing him. It’s hard to sleep with those. He got a good one. For him not to play, he tried his heart out to be there, and I just sent him home to just get off his leg and get that thing better.”
Charcandrick West’s concussion. If he has a concussion, you’re probably safe to rule him out for next week.
Derrick Johnson’s hamstring. He played but he’s been listed on the injury report since Week 9. He does not look right to me. I’m thinking that injury is bothering him during the game.
Jaye Howard’s hip. He’s missed a couple games with that now. The Chiefs have Chris Jones to step in and they also have Rakeem Nunez-Roches, who was one of the bright spots on Sunday.
