Chiefs await more news on Dee Ford, Charcandrick West in concussion protocol

The Kansas City Chiefs come out of Sunday’s game against the Bucs banged up. Again. The Chiefs were already without Marcus Peters, Jeremy Maclin and Jaye Howard going into their loss to the Bucs and now you can add Dee Ford and Charcandrick West to the injury report.

Ford never came out of the locker room in the second half due to what Reid called a hamstring strain. This one concerns me. It seems the Chiefs were quick to rule him out if it were just a strain. Reid calls everything a strain (or so it seems) so I’m still waiting to see if there’s anything more on Ford. It would be a shame if he missed any more time in his breakout season, and it would be a shame for a Chiefs pass rush that needs him.

West is in the concussion protocol. I didn’t see which play this came from. Historically the Chiefs in the concussion protocol have missed at least a game so let’s keep an eye on that this week. The Chiefs have Bishop Sankey, who has been inactive so far this season.
