The Kansas City Chiefs are hitting the field on Wednesday for their first practice of Jaguars week and Spencer Ware will not be joining them. Chiefs coach Andy Reid spoke to the media on Wednesday and said that Ware remains in the concussion protocol.
Spencer Ware (concussion), Mitch Schwartz (ankle rest), Jaye Howard (hip) and Tamba Hali (normal) won't practice today.

We wrote earlier this week that the Chiefs should prepare to be without both Ware and Alex Smith because in most cases last year they held concussed players out an additional week. Alex Smith has already been ruled out but Andy Reid did NOT rule Ware out yet. They’ll see if he can pass the concussion protocol and get back to work this week.
If not, the Chiefs will have Charcandrick West as the featured back along with new signing Bishop Sankey in addition to whoever else they add (Darrin Reaves?).
