Nick Foles will start for Chiefs vs. Jaguars, Tyler Bray will be backup

The Kansas City Chiefs have already announced that Nick Foles will be the starting quarterback on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Alex Smith will not play as he recovers from his non-concussion last week.

Foles will get another shot in a game that is set up well for him. The Chiefs are huge favorites at home over the 2-5 Jaguars. The Chiefs have won three in a row. They’re feeling good.

As for Alex, he addressed the media today and says he remains symptom free. He has had a concussion before and said he doesn’t think he had a concussion this time. He remains in the return to play protocol from the NFL.

Reid said that Tyler Bray will be the backup on Sunday so that means Alex won’t be active for the game. At least the Chiefs have a backup before they get to Anthony Sherman.

For the record, Andy Reid has tried already to shut down your QB controversy talk. I’m sure this won’t help if Foles performs well.
