When the Kansas City Chiefs said after Sunday’s game that starting left guard Parker Ehinger had a knee sprain I figured there was more to the story. Sometimes the TV broadcast picks up noise from the field and when that injury happened you heard a scream from Ehinger indicating this was more than just some sprain.
Chiefs Digest reported on Tuesday that Ehinger is headed to injured reserve. The Chiefs haven’t confirmed that yet but likely will after sorting through all these roster moves.
Additionally, ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports it’s a torn ACL. The KC Star’s star photographer David Eulitt has this picture of what appears to be the play where Ehinger tore it:

If it is indeed an ACL then he’s done for the year. 2017 training camp next August sounds like a reasonable goal too.
