Bizarre situation on Tuesday for former KC Chiefs RB Knile Davis. He was cut by the Packers which made me wonder whether the Kansas City Chiefs would bring him back. Instead it was reported Tuesday afternoon that the New York Jets had claimed Knile off of waivers.
What Knile didn’t know is that he was just insurance. The Jets were also working on a contract with CJ Spiller. When the deal with Spiller was completed a mere hours after claiming Knile, the Jets cut him.
Here is an exclusive highlight of Knile’s time in New York:

He’ll still get paid for one week so not ALL is lost but, yeah, it’s gotta be a tough week for him. He is now available again which still makes me wonder about the Chiefs, who signed Bishop Sankey from the Patriots practice squad on Tuesday. Would the Chiefs bring Knile back or is that door closed? I guess we’ll find out this week.
