The Kansas City Chiefs have a loaded injury report but they’re hoping most of them can play. The Chiefs list six players as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, including Marcus Peters, Derrick Johnson and Dontari Poe. Andy Reid said all the questionable players are “iffy” this week but there’s optimism those three can play.
Justin Houston is expected to make his season debut while James Winchester’s status is unclear.
The Chiefs will be without Jeremy Maclin and likely without Jaye Howard this weekend. That means more time for a couple of rookies Tyreek Hill and Chris Jones. Hill had 13 targets last week with Maclin out.
The Chiefs have been missing a lot of key players in a lot of key games and yet they keep winning so I can’t imagine they’ll be using any of these injuries as an excuse.
