Uncertainty around Alex Smith, Spencer Ware doesn’t seem to affect Chiefs odds vs. Jaguars

The Kansas City Chiefs could be without starting quarterback Alex Smith and starting running back / superhero Spencer Ware on Sunday against the Jaguars but that doesn’t seem to affect the line on the game.

The Jaguars-Chiefs odds opened at 7.5 points in favor of the Chiefs and now they’re currently showing the Chiefs as a whopping 10-point favorite. That’s the biggest line of the week which, as we saw in Monday night’s Vikings-Bears game, means nothing.

Still, I’m not sure many teams have a line like this with their starting quarterback and best offensive player in the concussion protocol. That’s a credit to the overall talent level on the Chiefs but especially the depth at quarterback and running back.
