The Kansas City Chiefs have signed a former Oakland Raiders linebacker a week before they play the Raiders. The team announced the addition of Sio Moore and also announced that Dezman Moses has been cut.
Moore was one of two starters cut by the Colts this week (along with Antonio Cromartie). He’s listed as an inside linebacker with the Colts the past two seasons but as an outside linebacker. He was with the Raiders for two seasons before he was traded to Indianapolis.
Who is Sio Moore? Rotoworld was not kind with this: “Moore is a sub-replacement level player the Colts had been starting at inside linebacker. His release is surprising in that he's a starter, but completely unsurprising based on his play. Inside linebacker is a massive trouble spot for Indy.”
The Chiefs also traded for inside linebacker Sam Barrington a few weeks ago but he hasn’t been active. We will see what Moore brings against his former team in a couple of weeks.
This marks the second player from Liberia on the team, along with Tamba Hali.
