Chiefs coach Andy Reid reminds you 2-2 is not the end of the world

Sometimes when you’re a good team and you start 2-2 it feels like the world is ending. Sorta like the Kansas City Chiefs right now! Andy Reid spoke to the media earlier this week and I think this quote is worth passing along.

“We’re 2-2,” Reid said. “It’s not the end of the world, even though it feels that way. That’s how things are in the National Football League. We’ve got a week to step back, analyze and fix some of these issues. The consistency is the two road games which we haven’t done very well in. I’ll go back and look at my approach to the players -- I don’t think I’ve done a good enough job there when getting them mentally right to function in a football game. Both were against good football teams -- or at least perceived to be good football teams. That’s why when I tell you it’s my responsibility there, it’s my responsibility. These are good football players and I’ve got to make sure I’m putting them in the right positions on both sides of the ball and special teams. We’ve also got to be in the right frame of mind.”

I will venture to guess there is no carryover from that bad Steelers game and the Chiefs are more likely to look like the team that’s averaged 10 wins a season over the past three years rather than this one that should probably be 1-3.
