Broncos’ John Elway says something Chiefs fans will actually agree with

Here’s something new for us here at Arrowhead Pride: Reading a John Elway quote and actually agreeing with him instead of quietly stepping aside and puking.

The MMQB’s Albert Breer spoke with Elway from the Broncos facilities this week in a story that you can read here. The opening paragraphs include this quote from Elway:

“I’m excited about where we are. We’ve got a long way to go. The AFC West is by far the best division, so we’ve got a dogfight ahead.”

Well ... he’s not wrong. At least in my biased mind. The Raiders and Broncos are 5-2, the Chiefs are 4-2 and the Chargers are the most dangerous 3-4 team in the league (not kidding either).

The NFC East has a strong argument. The Cowboys are 5-1, the Eagles are 4-2 and the other two are 4-3. So the worst team in the division is 4-3. The Cowboys are the only team there that feels for real. And even then they’re playing with a rookie. This is the most competition for best division.

The NFC North also has a strong argument. The Vikings are arguably the best team in the NFC. The Packers are 4-2 with bad Aaron Rodgers. Imagine how they’ll be when he’s good again (if he’s good again?). The Lions have the best quarterback in football not named Tom Brady. This division is kinda screwed by Jay Cutler’s Bears, who are bad.

Top to bottom, yeah, I’ll take the AFC West.
