Jamaal Charles has been plagued by a nagging injury all through practice this week. On Friday, Andy Reid confirmed that it would also keep him from playing on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

Spencer Ware has clearly become the featured back for the Chiefs in the wake of Charles' injury, and will continue to receive the lion's share of reps and receptions until Charles can prove he's ready to take over those duties. It's also a legitimate question of whether that will ever happen this season.
Charles only has 12 carries on the season in 3 games, good for 40 rushing yards and a single rushing touchdown. He continues to make his way back from an ACL injury that limited him to five games last season.
For his career, Charles has a 5.5 yards/carry average in 69 total starts (and 103 games played).
