LaDainian Tomlinson said on NFL Network Sunday night that he thinks the KC Chiefs are going to come out of the AFC West.
“I think this is the most complete team in that division,” LT said. “When it’s all said and done, I think they’re going to be the ones to come out of it.”
He’s not wrong. The Chiefs are probably the most balanced team in the division. The Broncos defense is elite but they have something called a Trevor Siemian or something else called a Paxton Lynch starting for them. The Raiders have one of the best offenses in the league and one of the worst defenses. The Chargers are the Chargers.
The Chiefs? Their defense is outstanding. Very, very good. The best part about the defense is that they’re playing this well without Justin Houston. He’ll be back soon. The offense is inconsistent but with flashes of what could be an above average unit. Hate on the Chiefs offense all you want but when Spencer Ware is running well and Alex is completing 70 percent of his passes, this team is tough to beat.
Best team in the division? To be determined. Most balanced? Yes.
