Plays like this from Spencer Ware make it easier for Chiefs to rest Jamaal Charles

New, comments

Spencer Ware is a great runner. I mean, really good. He took a screen pass against the Saints and, along with some great blocking, zigged and zagged his way to the end zone for a 46-yard touchdown run. It’s the longest scoring play of his career.

He’s not Jamaal Charles but he’s still very good in the open field. I didn’t think that pass catching or running in space was one of his strengths but this run clearly proves me wrong.

He has a second gear with his speed as he was able to pull away from the pack once he broke away. That’s the difference between a first and 10 at the 20 and a touchdown.

He’s making it easier to sit Jamaal Charles.
