Well, well, well...
Here we sit six weeks into the season and for the first time this year we can report that the Kansas City Chiefs have the best odds of winning the Super Bowl among AFC West teams. Higher than the Chargers (who they beat), higher than the Raiders (who they beat) and, yes, higher than the Denver Broncos. This according to Bovada’s odds.
The Broncos had better odds than the Chiefs as recently as last week but the updated odds favor the Chiefs.
The Chiefs have the third best odds in the AFC behind the Patriots and Steelers. Those two teams are, in my opinion, obviously better than the Chiefs. That’s why home field advantage will be so critical for the Chiefs if they want to make a run. They have a pretty good shot at making the playoffs as it is now and maybe they could win a game or two. Their best chances of making a run though would mean having home field advantage.
What’s odd is that they still give the Broncos 7/5 odds to win the AFC West against the Chiefs 8/5.
