Kansas City Chiefs place defensive starters Allen Bailey, Justin March-Lillard on injured reserve | ESPN

The Chiefs will replace Bailey with rookie Chris Jones, a second-round draft pick. March-Lillard was an injury replacement for the original starter at his spot, Josh Mauga. The candidates to replace him include the recently signed Sio Moore and Sam Barrington. Both have been starters for other NFL teams -- Barrington with the Green Bay Packers and Moore for the Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.

The Packers will send a late-round draft pick to the Chiefs, a league source told PackersNews. The pick reportedly will be conditional based on Davis' performance with the Packers.  Davis becomes the first player acquired by the Packers in a trade since safety Anthony Smith was obtained from the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 18, 2010, for a conditional seventh-round draft pick.

Rivera using 2015 Chiefs as inspiration | Panthers.com

"We’ve got an opportunity to do something that was done last year," Rivera said after Carolina wrapped up its only practice of the week. "A team started 1-5 and came back and put themselves in position." That team was the Kansas City Chiefs, led by Rivera’s good friend and former colleague Andy Reid. The Chiefs won their first game then lost five straight before rattling off 10 consecutive wins.

The Chiefs have four-time Pro Bowler Eric Berry at safety, but there are depth issues at the other cornerback spot. Projected starter Phillip Gaines continues to battle leg issues, according to the Kansas City Star, and the Chiefs were scrambling to find cornerback depth before the start of the regular season. Kansas City has also struggled with its pass rush; despite 3½ sacks from Dee Ford, the Chiefs have just seven sacks in five games. So far, though, Kansas City has overcome those issues, ranking 14th in the NFL in total defense and 10th in scoring because of turnovers.

I was actually surprised to see Kelce come so cheaply - $2,200 cheaper than the most expensive TE available. All too often we see opposing pass-catchers have wide open cushions in the middle of the field, and Kelce is one of the more reliable options for QB Alex Smith.

Defensively, Poe and the Chiefs defensive front was able to limit the effectiveness of the Raiders running game, allowing just 65 yards on 17 carries by the team’s tandem of running backs, and Derek Carr. The 65 yards was the second-lowest rushing output of the season for the Silver and Black, and the team would be well-served to return to their dominant ways on the ground going forward.

The Turner High School football team is 3 - 4 with a huge game coming up against rival Wyandotte High School. The Chiefs visit meant a lot to these players. "It’s great, you know. I have been a Chiefs fan all my life and so seeing these two players come out and talk to me it makes me feel real good on the inside," said Turner senior Robert Erwin.

Saints Should Follow Steelers’ Blueprint to Beat Kansas City | Big Easy Believer

The Steelers dominated that contest from start to finish, with Ben Roethlisberger having a sensational day, spreading the ball around and throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns. Le’Veon Bell also had a great game, rushing for over 180 yards. Now while it’s highly unlikely that the Saints will replicate this dominant performance, there are still some things that they can try to replicate strategically which will put them in the best possible chance of "stealing" (no pun intended) a victory.
