UPDATE: It’s a 2018 conditional seventh round pick
As expected, the Kansas City Chiefs trade of Knile Davis didn’t net them much. That’s not a knock on Knile but more to point out that running backs aren’t so valuable these days. Multiple reports from ESPN and NFL Network have tabbed it as a conditional late round pick.
In their trade for #KCChiefs RB Knile Davis, the #Packers gave up a conditional late-round pick. Likely based on playing time.

This is what I expected. If the Chiefs could get a mid round pick for Knile, they would’ve traded him already. The timing is probably not a coincidence as Jamaal Charles has returned healthy and the Packers need a back with Eddie Lacy hurting. There were trade talks around Knile for a long time but no action. I thought if they could get anything for him it would be minimal.
I hope he gets a chance to play in Green Bay. Perhaps he will get the opportunity to return another kick in the playoffs.
