When I was on 610 Sports last week with Danny Parkins and Carrington Harrison, I was telling them that I thought the Chiefs-Raiders line would be pretty close. Vegas has liked the Chiefs this year despite their 2-2 record. I thought the Raiders would at most be a three point favorite but possibly lower like 2.5 points. They thought it would be three or higher.
The odds are in and it is indeed close. The Raiders are just a 1.5-point favorite in most spots. They’re a 1-point favorite in one spot. When I checked on Sunday night one odds outlet had the game as a pick ‘em.
If you believe that the home team gets three points, then they’re saying this is advantage Chiefs on a neutral field. But it’s not a neutral field. It’s in Oakland.
The Chiefs have won five of the last six against Oakland and four of those five wins were by multiple scores. This Oakland team, however, it feels different. They’re 4-1 and atop the division.
