The Kansas City Chiefs will be visiting the Houston Texans in the NFL playoffs in a matter of hours and Jamaal Charles will not be there. The Chiefs RB was lost for the year in Week 5, which makes the Chiefs run all that more impressive.
Jamaal recently wrote a blog post on his website, JamaalCharles25.com, with thoughts on the Chiefs season, Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware and his injury.
You should read the whole thing. A snippet:
I owe it to all of those people to come back. All the messages I've receivedâI can't put into words how helpful they were. I received one not too long ago that said, "Try to do something that most people can't do." That's stuck in my head. I'm trying to do something that most people can't do, come back from two torn ACLs. And how would I do that? That's motivation for me.
Jamaal said that he doesn't why he was hurt hut believes everything happens for a reason.
I'm not happy how the season ended for me, being injured. But everything happens for a reason. I can never understand that reason right now, but I will know what it is later on. I'm just thinking about coming back strong, and having a great season next year. In the meantime, there won't be anyone rooting harder for the Kansas City Chiefs this postseason than I will. I can't wait to see those guys take the field in Houston on Saturday. I'd give anything to be out there with them, playing the game I love.
Jamaal is coming back. He talked about feeling even better faster after this ACL surgery because the technology is so much better than even four years ago when he tore his first ACL.
