The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly working on a contract extension for TE Demerius Harris, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
The Chiefs are closing in on a contract extension with TE Demetrius Harris. Could be done by the time they play this weekend...

Harris is scheduled to be a restricted free agent next year so I suspect this isn't for much money (relatively speaking).
Harris, a former basketball player, is coming off the best and biggest catch of his career when he caught a leaping touchdown last week against the Raiders. He's been the Chiefs second tight end this season. If a deal gets done then the Chiefs have their tight ends set for next season. Travis Kelce is clearly the leader while the Chiefs also have rookie James O'Shaughnessy, who ended the season on IR.
