Marcus Peters likely has a much bigger award coming soon but for now this one will have to do. The NFL announced that the Kansas City Chiefs CB has been named the defensive rookie of the month for December.

Just a ho-hum four interceptions and a touchdown in December. Not bad, huh? The best part about Peters is that he seems to be getting better as the season goes on. He doesn't appear to be hitting the rookie wall. Considering he will be facing one of the NFL's most dynamic receivers in the biggest game of his life this weekend, that's a good thing. The Chiefs won't have one player trail Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins but Peters will get his shot on him when he's on his side.
