Chiefs OC Doug Pederson says he hasn't heard from any teams for interviews

Adam Schefter reported he would be a leading candidate, the Philly media shot that down and then Adam Caplan reported that he would be interviewing with the Eagles. But Chiefs offensive coordinator Doug Pederson told the KC media he hasn't heard from any teams for interviews.

"I have not, I have not, no," Pederson said when asked on Wednesday if he'd heard from any teams.

(Update: Now Jason La Canfora is also saying Pederson will interview with the Eagles this weekend)

Teams with a bye can have assistants interview this week while other teams, including the Chiefs, would have to wait until next week.

Well, I'm not sure what to make of this. Philly media seems to think Andy Reid is in the ear of the Eagles owner. I'm sure that Andy Reid wants his former quarterback and offensive coordinator to get a head coaching job. I also imagine that, ideally, this isn't a distraction this week. It certainly doesn't seem like a distraction here in Kansas City, although the NFL media chattering about it.

Pederson has been a coordinator for three seasons so I thought this might've been a little early for him. We should know more after this weekend's game in Houston.
