The Kansas City Chiefs will be playing on a short week. The Chiefs, who beat the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, will play the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2016 NFL playoffs on Saturday.
Andy Reid will address the media on Monday as he usually does. The Chiefs normally have a day off on Tuesday and practice Wednesday through Friday but this week they will practice Tuesday through Thursday, which means one less day off. The Chiefs will be off on Friday (likely a travel day) before going to Houston to play the Texans on Saturday.
I actually like this schedule for the Chiefs. Given a short week, give me the Chiefs over the Texans. The Chiefs have a more veteran coaching staff, more veteran quarterback and more depth throughout the roster. This short week could be an advantage for them.
