You should expect Jamaal Charles back with the Kansas City Chiefs next season. Chiefs GM John Dorsey spoke with the media this afternoon and more or less confirmed that Jamaal, who tore his ACL in October, would be a Chief next season.
Dorsey was asked about Jamaal and raved about him for a second before saying, "Yeah, he's a Chief."
That Jamaal coming back is even a question is a real testament to the job that Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware did last season. Both players were a surprise for the Chiefs and both offered a skill set that the Chiefs maximized well.
I'm imagining the emergence of West and Ware could be good for Jamaal's career. The Chiefs say every year that they're going to watch Jamaal's touches to keep him fresh and next year they can actually do that. As a power back, Ware has skills that Jamaal doesn't have and those skills can be useful for the Chiefs next season.
