Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict was in the news for the ugly hits he took on Steelers players in Cincinnati's Wild Card loss last weekend. Patriots WR Danny Amendola appears to be doing his best impression with this shot on Chiefs DB Jamell Fleming.
Amendola was the punt returner on the play and stepped out of the way to let the punt hit the ground until he saw Fleming step in to catch the punt. Amendola went helmet first into Fleming and the result was this ugly play. It was technically for a blindside block, according to CBS' Mike Carey.

Also bad about this is that it was essentially a 2-yard penalty as it was half the distance to the goal.
I wasn't the only one to think of Burfict after seeing that ugly hit.
'Amendola' autocorrects to 'Burfict.' Weird.

In other news, Amendola is gonna get the Burfict treatment, right? Right???

That punk-ass hit from Amendola was every bit as bad as anything Vontaze Burfict did last week. Let's see if it gets reported that way.

Even Vontaze Burfict thought Amendola's hit was a little much.
