Didn't see this coming. Paul Fanaika, who started at right tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs in two preseason games, has been placed on injured reserve. This means his season is over. The Chiefs re-signed LB Dezman Moses in his spot.

This is kind of weird. I didn't even realize Fanaika was hurt. Per Terez Paylor, it could have come earlier in the week. [Update: Per Terez, it's a herniated disc) He was signed to a three-year free agent this offseason but didn't really project as a starter. He played right tackle in the preseason when Jeff Allen and Eric Fisher were out. Ultimately, this won't affect the Chiefs very much unless multiple injuries hit them, which is possible.
Moses had a solid preseason, especially that first game where he really flashed. He's a good player who merits a spot on the roster.
