Tuesday is power rankings day around the NFL, and so we begin the 2015 season with a look at the first 2015 NFL power rankings. SB Nation's NFL bloggers turned in their power rankings the other day, which you can see here. The top five are the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts, which are the same top five teams I have but in a different order t (put your Broncos insults in the comments).
The Kansas City Chiefs are the No. 10 team in the NFL, according to SB Nation's power rankings. That's actually higher than how I had them in the ranking that I turned in. I had the Chiefs at No. 12. I'm used to folks not giving the Chiefs enough credit -- they arguably have a top three defense, after all -- but calling them the 10th best team is more than fair. The Chiefs were on the edge of a playoff berth last year with a top defense, which they should have this year, and an average offense, which they should at least have this year.
As our own stagdsp looked at with this roster piece, the Chiefs are the same or better at most of the positions on the team. However, we shall see how the offensive line holds up...
I attached the rankings that I turned in below. It feels like I might have the Vikings a little too low; they should be a good team this year. It also feels like I have the Bears too high; they're going to be pretty bad. It's only been a few days since I filled it out and already I would change some things. There's no doubt I am embarrassingly wrong on some of these so I can't wait to see which teams those are that surprise us.
