Chiefs cuts: Jarrod Pughsley doesn't make it, practice squad an option

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

It's not a major surprise or anything but I thought there was a chance the Kansas City Chiefs would be keeping OT Jarrod Pughsley. Per reports from Terez Paylor and Herbie Teope, the Chiefs have cut Pughsley.

Again, not a big surprise but when Eric Fisher and Jeff Allen were out, Pughsley played at right tackle briefly. Then Paul Fanaika stepped in and played. I thought perhaps Pughsley had a shot to make it while Allen recovered. They have enough bodies in Donald Stephenson and Paul Fanaika to make it by.

Pughsley is a good practice squad candidate. I bet that's where he ends up.

The Chiefs roster cuts should be coming in at 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time). So very soon.
