While it doesn't qualify as a surprise since TE Demetrius Harris has return, the Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly cutting TE Ryan Taylor. This according to the KC Star's Terez Paylor.
TE Ryan Taylor has been released, a source tells me. #Chiefs

Harris was out all offseason so we figured Taylor might be the Chiefs best bet as a third tight end. And then Harris came back last week so I am guessing that Harris and not Taylor will be the Chiefs third tight end behind Travis Kelce and rookie James O'Shaughnessy.
The Chiefs may not be completely done with Taylor, however. If there's an injury to one of their tight ends during the year, I could absolutely see them calling Taylor back up.
The Chiefs full list of cuts should be out by 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time).
