The Kansas City Chiefs roster cuts continue with the release of former Green Bay Packers OT Derek Sherrod.
The #Chiefs are cutting former first-round pick Derek Sherrod, source said. Injuries have plagued the ex-#Packers pick.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 5, 2015
We had some hope for Sherrod early on because he was a former first round pick with the Packers. Unfortunately, it just never stuck. OT Jarrod Pughsley played on the first team ahead of Sherrod when OTs Eric Fisher and Jeff Allen were out.
Speaking of OT, there's hope that Pughsley can make the team because Allen may not be ready for the season opener. So keep an eye on that position moving foward.
The Chiefs cuts are due in about an hour at 3 p.m. (Arrowhead Time).
