The Kansas City Chiefs have had luck with former Seattle Seahawks players (Jaye Howard, Ron Parker) so it's with some optimism that I tell you that the Chiefs have signed another former Seahawk.
#Chiefs transactions 9/30 Signed to the practice squad: DL, Jimmy Staten Claimed from our practice squad by the Cowboys: DL, David Irving
— Kansas City Chiefs (@chiefs) September 30, 2015
The Cowboys signed Irving, a Chiefs UDFA, to their 53-man roster on Tuesday so Staten replaces him.
Staten was a 2014 fifth round pick by the Seahawks out of Middle Tennessee State. Since then he has bounced around to the Giants and most recently the Patriots.
The Chiefs usually find a player or two from their practice squad each year who comes up to make the active roster so be on the lookout for one of them coming up at some point.
