Just about everyone seems to be picking the Green Bay Packers to beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Even if the Chiefs had beaten the Denver Broncos last week, I think you would see most folks picking the Packers to win. That's because Green Bay is one of the best teams in the league and at home they seem invincible. I would expect most people to be picking the Packers to win.
What I have found interesting is that many of the predictions call for a close game -- usually within one score. Most NFL games are close but it says something about the Chiefs when most picks in this game are predicting only a 3-7 point victory for the Packers.
I agree with those people that this game has a good shot to be a close one. It's a 6.5-point line in favor of the Packers at the moment. As a reference, the Cowboys were a 6-point 'dog in their playoff game at Lambeau last year.
I have the Packers winning the game 27-21. The Chiefs can cover but it would take an incredible effort for the Chiefs to win. It's certainly not impossible and it wouldn't be unheard of. But it will be very, very difficult.
