As we noted on Sunday, the injury to Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger could have an affect on the 2015 AFC playoff race. At the time I didn't know how long Big Ben would be out with his injury but now there are some clues. Multiple reports indicate Roethlisberger is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The exact timeline here is important for the Chiefs because they play the Steelers in four weeks on October 25. it's very possible that the Chiefs are facing a Steelers team led by backup Michael Vick rather than Roethlisberger.
For the Chiefs, the backup quarterback is especially notable because Andy Reid is very familiar with Michael Vick, who started 35 games for Reid's Eagles from 2010-2012. Given Reid's familiarity, I'm confident in the Chiefs ability to game plan for Vick. This is an advantage for the Chiefs.
We'll be monitoring Big Ben's injury as the weeks go on. He's a tough, tough player so it's no guarantee that he'll be missing that Chiefs game.
