Chiefs' Marcus Peters up for rookie of the week, again

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Marcus Peters has played in two NFL games and he's been nominated for the rookie of the week award. Twice.

That's a heck of a start for the Kansas City Chiefs rookie cornerback, who has an interception in each of his first two games. Peters intercepted a pass in Week 1 against the Texans that led to a touchdown. He didn't have to wait on the offense for his interception in Week 2 as he took that one to the house himself.

There is a reason we're so excited about Peters in Kansas City, and these rookie of the week nominations show why.
