Chiefs' Eric Fisher has a shot to play vs. Packers, Jeff Allen 'not quite all the way back'

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

I am still unsure of how the Kansas City Chiefs are handling their offensive line. Eric Fisher and Jeff Allen continue to practice and were listed as probable on the injury report last week but neither of them played. Fisher was active last week against the Denver Broncos while Allen was not.

So where do they stand heading into Week 3?

"Jah [Reid] stepped in and has done a nice job," Andy Reid said on the Chiefs Kingdom Radio Show on Monday. "[Eric Fisher] has an opportunity here to potentially be back from his injury. Jeff Allen is working in. He's not quite all the way back but he's getting there and feeling better."

The way I read this: Fisher has a shot to play on Monday in Green Bay while it seems more of a stretch that Allen will play.

What confuses me is that what Reid is saying doesn't really match up with the injury report. I understand a full practice and a probable listing on the injury report to mean that the player is healthy enough to play. But hearing Reid talk, they're both still dealing with injuries. So ... I don't know.
