The Kansas City Chiefs snap counts for the Denver Broncos game are in.
The Chiefs had 64 plays on offense and 73 plays on defense. Four offensive linemen and Alex Smith played every snap on offense while LBs Derrick Johnson and Justin Houston and S Ron Parker played every snap on defense.
Like last week, Eric Fisher made a brief appearance. Donald Stephenson got his leg rolled up on him at which point Fisher came in for two plays before Stephenson returned.
Eric Berry played nearly a full time role with 71 of 73 snaps while Husain Abdullah, who was listed on the injury report, played just 27 snaps. He made an impact with a huge hit on Demaryius Thomas down the sideline to knock the ball out.
The Chiefs tight end breakdown continues to give more snaps to Demetrius Harris (23) than James O'Shaughnessy (14). However, Shag caught two balls for 54 yards, including a critical 30-yard gain late in the game that put the Chiefs in field goal position.
Jeremy Maclin and Albert Wilson remain the top two receivers. De'Anthony Thomas was third in snaps again followed by a handful for Jason Avant and one snap for Chris Conley.
Dontari Poe's snaps continue to increase with 49 of the 73 defensive snaps. Jaye Howard was the star of the defensive line as he was everywhere in just 40 snaps. He had a huge run grade, according to PFF.
Then there's Jamell Fleming. The Chiefs CB who was lit up in the game played in 51 of the 71 snaps. The Broncos didn't go with three wideouts as often this time around so he didn't play as much but he still had a major affect on the game. Who else did the Chiefs have? CB Marcus Cooper played one snap.
