It's a good bet Jah Reid will start again for Kansas City Chiefs over Eric Fisher

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Andy Reid opened his Tuesday press conference by mentioning Eric Fisher and Jah Reid because he knew he would be asked about that.

"[Fisher is] going to practice today," Reid said, via quotes from the Chiefs. "Jah will take the majority of the reps with the ones and we'll just see how he does here. It's making progress, I'm not sure it's all the way back though to where we need to be."

So it's a pretty good bet that Jah Reid is going to be starting this game. I like to say that what coaches say doesn't always matter -- pay attention to what they do. What Reid is doing here is getting ready for Jah Reid to start this game. It would be a surprise at this point if he didn't. As we saw last week, Eric Fisher should be ready, even if only for one play, because injuries do happen.

If the Chiefs can win this game and do so without getting Alex Smith crushed, it's going to be hard for me to see Andy Reid changing that offensive line up before the Packers game in Week 3. So I do believe Jah Reid can play well enough to keep this job for another week, assuming he does start this Thursday.
