A few of us have wondered if Kansas City Chiefs GM John Dorsey would reach back into his Packer connections and sign former Green Bay WR James Jones, who was cut by the Raiders this offseason. That won't be happening now as Jones is signing with the Giants.
However, there was apparently some level of interest from the Chiefs.
WR James Jones, who chose the #Giants over offers from #Eagles, #Chiefs, #Seahawks & #Bengals, will be signing a 1-year deal with NYG.

This is a few days old at this point but it's new to me. The Chiefs brought in L'Damian Washington this week with Chris Conley and now Junior Hemingway out with injuries. Washington is probably a long shot but I like what he brings. Jones probably would have been more of a sure thing but the Chiefs have a few young players that I like a lot -- Albert Wilson, Chris Conley and even De'Anthony Thomas. The only way to find out if they're any good is to get them on the field.
