The Kansas City Chiefs trimmed 11 players ahead of Tuesday's deadline to get the roster down to 75 players. The Chiefs released the list of players released and there aren't any major surprises on there.
It appears the long snapper battle has been decided with Andrew East getting cut. Looks like James Winchester has won the job. WR Kenny Cook was someone who made some plays in OTAs but he didn't make it. DE Vaughn Martin was on some of our early 53-man roster projections but he was released.
The Chiefs will be making a 10-man practice squad next Sunday and some of these players could be on it. The Chiefs will need to be down to 53 players by next Saturday.
Here is our most recent Chiefs 53-man roster prediction.
More cuts are coming but here's where the Chiefs stand now:
WR Kenny Cook
OT Anthony Dima
LS Andrew East
CB Aaron Hester
DE Vaughn Martin
CB Kenneth Penny
G Marcus Reed
TE Adam Schiltz
WR Jeret Smith
OL Charles Tuaau
WR L'Damian Washington
