I can sense some frustration from Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin who sent this message out on Twitter Saturday morning:
It amazes me how "Fantasy Football" is the only football that some of you know. It's sad. News flash for yall: I don't give a damn about ur "Fantasy" football team.
From Maclin's standpoint, I can see how this would be very frustrating. People are probably tweeting him fantasy things all day long. He probably goes out in public and people ask him about fantasy. He's just trying to win a ring with the Chiefs yet many people want to talk about fantasy. That's gotta be annoying.
On the other hand, fantasy football is a major reason football is this big. It's a major reason the NFL can pull in billions of dollars in TV revenue. These two things are linked.
I hate to be a fence-sitter but I can see both sides of this one. Fantasy football is big. But that doesn't mean Maclin has to care about anything other than winning the game.
