The Kansas City Chiefs have announced those who won't be playing tonight against the Tennessee Titans.
QB Tyler Bray, WR De'Anthony Thomas, OT Tavon Rooks, LB Justin March, OT Jeff Allen, OT Eric Fisher, WR Junior Hemingway, TE Demetrius Harris, LB Josh Mauga, NT Dontari Poe.
All of these were about what we expected. A few thoughts on these:
- The Chiefs will be without two of their top offensive linemen in Jeff Allen and Eric Fisher. So we can't learn much from the line this week.
- It's disappointing to go another week without seeing De'Anthony Thomas. I believe the expectation is that he will be ready for the season opener.
- Keep an eye on Ramik Wilson tonight. It's not out of the realm of possibility he beats out Josh Mauga, who has been banged up.
There will be other players who end up not playing. With 90 players on the roster and the starters playing into the third quarter, someone won't be playing.
