Turns out, Dee Ford does not have a broken rib.
I was standing in the Chiefs press conference room after last week's game when Andy Reid said that Ford, who was hit with a nasty chip block from the Seahawks' Christine Michael, had possibly broken a rib.
Reid said Wednesday that more tests were done and Ford actually did not break his rib.
"He just had a bruise, it was just a bruise," Reid said, via quotes from the Chiefs. "Initially, it looked like that on the MRI, but it wasn't a break once they looked at it."
That's good news for Ford, although I'm sure a bruised rib is still painful. He will play on Friday against Tennessee though.
"Dee will work in a rotation in there," Reid said. "He'll be in there, so he's good."
The rotation will be with Tamba Hali who is expected to play. The Chiefs rested Tamba last week while giving more snaps to Ford, which went pretty well for him until the rib injury. Here's to another solid game from Ford.
