Seems that Dontari Poe's injury rehab is going well. He remains on the PUP list and isn't likely to play during the preseason but Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said he is doing well.
"He's doing great. He's making big strides," #Chiefs Andy Reid on Dontari Poe. He said Poe wants to play in first game, but "we'll see."

Good to hear. We don't really know what this means or when a realistic return date would be. Others have been about three months, which would be mid-October. I am guessing the Chiefs probably don't know the exact date either. It all depends on how Poe responds to everything. The first phase of the rehab is recovering from surgery and the next phase is regaining his strength and getting in football shape.
It's more difficult for 350 pounders like Poe but I'm sure the Chiefs wouldn't mind if he returned earlier than they had planned. Meanwhile, Jaye Howard and Mike DeVito will take the bulk of the work in replacing him.
