ESPN analyst and former NFL GM Mark Dominik created the best NFL roster he could while staying within the salary cap. Dominik picked out the best valued players -- the best player at the cheapest price -- in order to field an entire team that still fits under the $143M salary cap.
Three Chiefs made the list:
TE Travis Kelce ($853k): An obvious pick. He is cheaper than Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham and can still produce like them. The downside is that he's done it for just one year.
LB Justin Houston ($5.1M): His big money doesn't kick in until next year so for 2015 Houston is a bargain.
KR / PR De'Anthony Thomas ($623k): He is so fun to watch on kick returns. Always feels like you have a shot at a touchdown.
Phillip Gaines could be someone who lands on this list next year if he puts in another solid season. I'm also somewhat surprised not to see Dontari Poe on this list considering he's still affordable.
