The Kansas City Chiefs have a potential MVP candidate on their team. Jamaal Charles is tied with the sixth highest MVP odds entering the 2015 season. Jamaal has always been a very good player but didn't start scoring a bunch of touchdowns and catching a lot of passes until Andy Reid came along so this MVP talk isn't all that crazy.
Jamaal's 2013 season was nearly 1,300 yards rushing and nearly 700 yards receiving with 19 touchdowns. I suspect Jamaal won't be getting numbers that high as the Chiefs try to manage him as best they can in the offense given the various injuries he had last year. If he did hit those numbers ... it probably wouldn't matter because Jamaal isn't a quarterback and it's usually quarterbacks who win (Adrian Peterson not included).
Anyway, here are the MVP odds for this season, via Bovada.
