The Kansas City Chiefs injury report is piling up. Along with WR Chris Conley, the Chiefs are missing another key player: OLB Dee Ford. The Chiefs say he is being treated for a concussion.

Ford is competing at outside linebacker along with Justin Houston and Tamba Hali. Back when there was talk that Houston could miss regular season games in his contract holdout, Ford was seen as a potentially vital piece of the Chiefs pass rush. With Houston back, Ford is a second teamer but the Chiefs are trying to find ways to get him on the field. If Hali and Houston are better pass rushers, it will be tough to find consistent snaps for Ford. I hope the Chiefs can find some sort of way to make him a regular contributor this season as the Chiefs will need him in a starting role next year if / when Tamba Hali leaves.
We will see how much time Ford misses. The Chiefs first preseason game is on Saturday so you hope he's around for that because I for one am excited to see how he does with a lot of snaps.
